Matt Woodrum
Husband, dad, and Counselor
Matt began his counseling career in 2022 when he completed his internship at a community counseling center where he is currently employed. Matt has a heart for people who have been through trauma and other rough spots in life.
Growing up with with ADHD was tough throughout school and as Matt went on to further my education. Matt has been through counseling himself to receive help with ADHD, trauma, and loss. Matt specifically decided to become a counselor so that he could encourage, empower, and help kids and adults who have been through difficult life events and who think differently than the rest of the world (ADHD & Autism).
Outside of Counseling, Matt has been married for 16 years to Jocelyn Woodrum (A Speech & Language Pathologist) and the two of them have three incredible daughters. Laelynn (age 11), Karissa (age 9), and Naya (age 5). While Matt helps and has worked past some of his mental health struggles, Matt’s middle child has ADHD and his youngest child has Autism. Matt’s goal while raising his kids has always been to give them “the one thing I never had, a dad”.
